Half way point

So I'm basically at the half way point of my time here in India. I've been meaning to start this darn blog since day one, but never made the time to do it. From here on out though, I'm going to make an effort to write down my experiences. Since I've been in India I've been exposed to pure beauty and pure filth on a daily basis. I've also experienced things from trekking in the Himalayas of Nepal and going to swanky parties to visiting my kids in the slums and seeing the reality of abject poverty that so many in this world live day in and day out. It's been a whirlwind of emotions, and the lense in which I view the world is slowly becoming more defined. That being said, I haven't taken the time to really think about what all this means or how these things will shape, or have already shaped my perspectives.

Hopefully this will be a place for me to hash out all of this, and also offer my friends and family a way to feel more connected to my Indian experiences. To be honest it's been very difficult to actually explain what I'm doing and experiencing here to people back home.

My commitment is officially made, and I'll do my best to keep this blog going and get more indepth with things from here on out.

Boom.
